CONNECT GROUPS

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” - Acts 2:42

At Victory Hill we believe that the church is called to be so much more than a Sunday gathering. God calls us to be family together - sharing our lives and growing together in faith. One of the ways that this is outworked in Victory Hill is through our mid-week Connect Groups. These groups meet in homes across the city, and provide an opportunity to build relationships and stir faith.

AROUND THE TABLE: FOOD, FAITH & FELLOWSHIP

Wednesdays | Portobello | 7pm

A warm relaxed gathering with a simple theme or coming together to share food and drink, talk about life and goals, grow in faith in God, and enjoy meaningful moments with one another.

We will be discussing Christian autobiography 'Chasing the Dragon' by Jackie Pullinger and enjoy other fun moments like a pub quiz- all while growing in faith and fellowship.

It will be a wonderful time to connect, express and strengthen our bond as one church family.

SEEKING GOD'S PURPOSES FOR US IN THE NATIONS

Tuesdays | Bruntsfield | 7pm

This is a connect group for anyone who feels stirred by God’s heart for the nations and wants to explore what that might mean for us as a church.

Together, we’ll pray, listen, and discern God’s call for VH by sharing the nations and peoples God has placed on our hearts, and by lifting them up in prayer. We’ll also spend time studying the Bible to ground our conversations in Scripture, creating a relaxed, faith-filled space to grow in vision and obedience.

REST, RECOVERY & REDEMPTION IN THE BOOK OF RUTH

Wednesdays | Various Hosts

Centered on a devotional journey through the book of Ruth, this connect group will be exploring God’s kindness, faithfulness, and redeeming work in everyday life.

Together, we’ll reflect on themes of rest, healing, and hope as we read Scripture, share insights, and encourage one another in a warm and welcoming setting.

This group is a space to slow down, grow deeper in God’s Word, and be reminded of His steady love and redemption.

HOLY FIRE

Wednesdays | Meadowbank | 6pm

This connect group is built around a study of R.T. Kendall’s book 'Holy Fire,' exploring the work and presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives today. Together, we’ll seek a deeper understanding of God’s refining, empowering fire through Scripture, discussion, and shared reflection in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

This group is especially family-friendly, meeting earlier in the evening to make it easier for those with young children to join. We’ll also enjoy eating together as part of our time, creating space for connection, conversation, and community as we grow together in faith.
